I finally went ahead and bought some new speakers, and the sound quality is truly amazing. They are pumping out frequencies I didn't know existed, which is great for my dubstep collection.
I of course went to Richer Sounds to buy them, and recieved great customer service again. I told them what I wanted, and because the amplifier I would use with them had also been bought from them, it made things very easy.
The speakers aren't absolute top of the range, simply because I'm not prepared to spend that amount of money.
However, I haven't yet mentioned the most impressive attribute these speakers have,
they are tough.
I have speaker wall mounts, and to cut a long story short, one of my brand new speakers fell from its mount. The mounts are a good 5 feet up from the floor, and these speaker bashed my desk and then made friends with the floor.
Much to my amazement, the speaker works perfectly, and it's like nothing happened.
There was a hole in the woofer, which I have patched up myself, with chewing gum. [A decent tip]
